I.    Post: Senior HR Manager (WB – SHRM)
            Duty Station:  Kigali
            Reporting: CEO
            Position: 1

1.    Job purpose:
Guide and manage the overall provision of Human resources services, policies and programs for the Company. Be able to work under pressure, be a good team player and possess excellent interpersonal skills, customer focused, self motivated and results oriented
2.    Key Responsibilities
•    Guide and manage the overall provision of Human resources services ,policies and programs for the Company
•    Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
•    Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements
•    Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to managers and staff within the organization
•    Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team
•    Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational and strategic advice and input across requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
•    Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the Company.
•    Provide the Chief Executive Officer and Management with support and advice on the recruitment, training development and motivation of staff.
•    Manage and develop direct reporting staff

3.    Main working relationships
•    Directly responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
•    Supervision of: All RwandAir Staff through the established structures
•    Functional relationships with: Senior Managers
•    External : Government, Industry Stakeholders, Training Organisations



4.    Job requirements
•    Education and Experience
    
•    Post graduate degree would be preferential
•    Post graduate professional human resources or administration qualification
•    8 years progressive responsible and professional experience in senior human resources.
•    advanced degree or its equivalent in Human resources or equivalent

•    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Proven track record in senior management and effective leadership in a similar organisation.
•    A strong background in the airline industry
•    Demonstrable experience in human resources.
•    Demonstrable track record of providing credible leadership within a human resources capacity.
•    Excellent team working skills and communication skills and ability to lead, inspire and develop a successful team of senior managers.

Country Sales Manager  DUBAI
-Participate in the design to formulate and agree the commercial and quality objectives and development (short, medium and long term) of the range of RwandAir Products and Services within the designated region.
 
-Identify new sales opportunities and take steps to implement them for new revenue streams.
-Develop and service trade partners to maximise loyalty and revenue generation.
 
-Undertake overall responsibility and accountability for the management, control and administration of RwandAir assets, fiscal and marketing policies within the region.
-Build and maintain country-wide relationships with Government Departments, Regulatory Authorities, Commercial Organisations, Third Party Suppliers and Contractors and ensure conformity with local and international legal requirements, conventions, policies, procedures and regulations.
 
-To monitor and recommend pricing levels in the country to maximize yield and revenue
 
-Maintain the overall administrative and budgetary control of the Country
 
-Provide adequate and timely feedback to head office on achievements/deficiencies/ market trends/ challenges with recommendation and insights on issues.
-University Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Operations / the Travel Industry of which a min. of 2 years at a senior level with a proven track record.
 
-Sales and Marketing qualification
 
-Experience with tactical and market pricing concepts
 
-Experience in Account/relationship management
Station Officer DUBAI
-Place catering orders based on booked loads to meet passenger needs/expectations cost effectively
 
-Plan tasks and assign them to ensure efficient and smooth operations
 
-Monitor operations/activities handled by staff/handling agents to enhance efficient service delivery and maintain schedule integrity
Liaise with other service providers to ensure safe operations and on time departure
 
-Prepare pre/post flight departure reports for records maintenance and performance analysis
 
-Brief/Debrief flight crew to establish smooth flight operations
 
-Handle the ships papers / dip mail CAT 1 bags
-High School education
-3 years experience in Airport Handling Operation / the Travel Industry.
 
-Experienced planning and managing human and materiel resources.
 
-Customer service experience hospitality/airline industry
Station Manager MOMBASA
-Contribute to the definition and development of Rwandair products portfolio particularly Airport services
 
-Ensure all flights are handled in accordance with company standards and country's laws for smooth and safe operations
 
-Ensure cost effective service delivery within agreed scope and standards.
 
-To ensure that staff levels and shift patterns are optimized.
 
-To ensure a safe and secure environment in compliance with relevant legislative /industry requirement.
 
-To ensure suitability trained/qualified/competent staffs are placed through the stations.
 
-Routine monitoring of safety and quality critical activities within passengers and ramp operations.
 
-Ensuring that all non-compliance reported from an evaluation process are closed within the time frame provided, action which should include identifying the roots causes and there failure
-Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Operations / the Travel Industry of which a min. of 5 years at a senior level with a proven track record.
 
-Experienced planning and managing extensive human and materiel resources.
 
-Experienced delivering service in demanding consumer perishable environment
 
-Customer service experience hospitality/airline industry
1st station officer Mombasa
-Place catering orders based on booked loads to meet passenger needs/expectations cost effectively
-Plan tasks and assign them to ensure efficient and smooth operations
 
-Monitor operations/activities handled by staff/handling agents to enhance efficient service delivery and maintain schedule integrity
 
- Liaise with other service providers to ensure safe operations and on time departure

-Gather and prepare clientele database for planning and identifying clients' needs
 
-Prepare visit work plan for clients for optimum utilization of time and resources
 
-Visit, service and build relations with Government organs & Parastatals, Corporate & Frequent fliers, and Travel Agents & Tour Operators to maintain loyalty and optimise revenue
 
-Achieve sales targets in line with budget for profitability of the airline
 
-Prepare, close sales contracts/incentives and deals to key accounts to generate maximum revenue
 
-Promote WB products and services to create awareness and generate sales and revenue
 
-Gather market intelligence to identify threats and opportunities so as to maintain a competitive edge and generate sales
 
-Prepare sales report for management information and performance evaluation and monitoring
-University graduate in sales and marketing or related field
 
-Recognized IATA certificate or knowledge in rules and regulation of airline sales reservation and ticketing
 
-4 years airline or travel agency experience in sales, marketing or revenue management
 
-He/she must be computer literate.
2 Sales & Ticketing Agents Mombasa
-Do reservations and ticketing for all WB clients to generate sales.   
 
-Fare quotes to all WB clients to provide the best applicable fares and generate sales
-Recruit and handle existing and prospective frequent fliers to win and retain loyalty
-Printing and reconciling of sales returns to accounts for daily sales
 
-Promote WB products and services to create awareness and generate sales and revenue
 
-Promote direct telephone sales so as to reduce distribution costs and generate sales.
-High School education
 
-Recognized IATA certificate or knowledge in rules and regulation of airline sales reservation and ticketing
 
-2 years airline or travel agency experience in a reservations and ticketing role
 
-He/she must be computer literate.
