Quality Auditor (Security)

RwandAir, is conducting internal recruitment for the following positions:

Position : Quality Auditor (Security)
Reports to : Corporate Quality Manager
Department : Quality Assurance

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring sound implementation of Corporate Quality systems in compliance with regulatory and company policy.
  2. Conduct periodic internal and external audits as per audit schedule given by the Quality Manager to assure compliance with company policy/procedures and industry/regulatory requirements
  3. Appraise the Quality Manager on the quality results and issues relating to the quality system
  4. To plan, implement and prepare audit reports and corrective action reports for submission to the Quality Manager within the given time
  5. Constant oversight and monitoring of compliance of company standards and regulatory requirements
  6. Perform Risk assessment on findings raised after an audit and share the report with the Safety Manager
  7. Conducts audits in the area which he/she has no day to day involvement but familiar with the type of audit required as determined by the Quality Manager
  8. Conducts Audits and quality inspections at predetermined intervals and when necessary any time when safety is threatened
  9. Have responsibility to ensure successful completion of the audits tasks, which include planning, communication with appropriate line management, conduct of the audit, and follow-up and verification of corrective actions as required. Report the same to Quality Manager
  10. Responsible for alerting appropriate line management to the impending audit and ensuring adequate communication concerning nature, scope and objectives of the audit together with time required, schedule, and key staff that need to be available
  11. Conduct quality control on manuals before submission to the Authority
  12. Monitoring and follow up the results emanating from the inspections conducted by Outstations on their Service providers
  13. Conduct the Enhanced IOSA Audit as defined in the IOSA Standards Manual
  14. Maintain the Q-Pulse software with current data and follow up on open items until closure
  15. Reporting safety hazards and occurrences
  16. The audits and quality inspections will be more focused on the Security side in addition to other fields in operations

Education and Experience

  • Degree / Diploma in science or arts with training in operational functions
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in the Security area
  • Has received relevant auditor training and evaluation detailed in chapter 5
  • Computer literate
  • Conversant with RCARs

  • Sound understanding and ability of audit procedures and reports
  • Conversant with company policy and standards operating systems and procedures especially in the Security area
  • Conversant with Q-Pulse
  • Trained and conversant with Audit techniques and procedures
  • Trained and conversant with Safety Management systems and Human factors
  • Commanding respect among peers and line managers
  • Diplomatic but diligent in collecting evidence and facts
  • Objective and analytical in evaluating results
