Booking your Kigali Stopover is simple and seamless.Purchase your RwandAir ticket to a destination beyond Kigali, then request your stopover by either emailing stopover@rwandair.com before your trip or upon arrival in Kigali.

Once your request is received, our team will take care of the arrangements and reach out to confirm your complimentary one-night hotel stay, subject to availability and program procedures.

    • 1. What is the Free Kigali Stopover?
      If you are flying through Kigali on RwandAir and your connection is 8 hours or more, we will put you up for the night in a partner hotel in Kigali at no cost to you. Think of it as a free night in one of Africa's most exciting cities, on us.
    • 2. Who can take advantage of this?
      Any passenger travelling on a RwandAir ticket through Kigali International Airport on an international itinerary, with a transit of 8 to 24 hours, and whose final destination is beyond Kigali. If you are travelling to or from Kigali as your destination, this offer does not apply.
    • 3. Do I need to book a special ticket to qualify?
      No. If your existing RwandAir itinerary already includes a qualifying transit through Kigali, you are eligible. You can also intentionally choose a connecting itinerary through Kigali to take advantage of the offer.
    • 4. How do I request it?
      Contact us at stopover@rwandair.com before your travel date or speak to the RwandAir Transit and Stopover Assistance team upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. Advance booking is strongly recommended.
    • 5. What is included?
      One complimentary hotel night, hotel taxes, and standard amenities. Breakfast and airport transfers depend on the participating hotel and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
    • 6. What is not included?
      Meals beyond what the hotel provides, personal expenses, visa fees, room service, laundry, and any other incidental charges.
    • 7. Can I bring my family?
      Yes. Children travelling with an eligible adult may be accommodated in line with hotel occupancy policies. Additional rooms may be arranged where needed.

    • The Free Kigali Stopover Program is available exclusively to passengers connecting through Kigali International Airport (KGL) on RwandAir-operated flights.
    • The offer applies only to passengers whose final destination is beyond Kigali. Passengers whose ticketed destination or origin is Kigali are not eligible.
    • Eligibility is limited to passengers with a scheduled transit time in Kigali exceeding eight (8) hours.
    • The complimentary accommodation consists of one (1) hotel night arranged and selected by RwandAir or its designated partners.
    • The complimentary stopover package can only be used once in the entire passenger journey – either on the outbound or inbound leg of the journey (not on both directions).
    • The offer is valid for a maximum stay of one night only and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, refunds, upgrades, or alternative services.
    • Complimentary accommodation is subject to hotel availability and applicable immigration requirements.
    • Passengers are responsible for ensuring they possess all required travel documents, visas, permits, health documentation, and entry approvals necessary to enter Rwanda where applicable.
    • Meals, ground transportation, incidental hotel expenses, room service, minibar charges, telephone charges, laundry services, and any other personal expenses are not included unless expressly stated by RwandAir.
    • The offer applies only to tickets issued on RwandAir ticket stock and operated by RwandAir. Additional fare conditions may apply.
    • RwandAir reserves the right to verify passenger eligibility and deny the benefit where the itinerary does not meet program requirements.
    • The complimentary stopover benefit is non-transferable and may only be used by the passenger named on the ticket.
    • Passengers who voluntarily create extended stopovers through itinerary changes may not qualify for the offer.
    • Group bookings may be subject to separate conditions and availability restrictions.
    • RwandAir reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.
    • By participating in the Free Kigali Stopover Program, passengers agree to these Terms and Conditions.
