Kigali, 19, March 2024 RwandAir has announced that it will relocate to Heathrow Terminal 4 to provide an improved customer experience for passengers travelling to and from Rwanda.

This decision is part of a series of changes implemented by Heathrow Airport’s operators to streamline operations at the busy airport

Premium passengers travelling through Terminal 4 will have access to the Plaza Premium Lounge’s selection of freshly prepared hot and cold food, a fully tended bar, and shower facilities with amenities. 

RwandAir began operating flights from Heathrow Airport in October 2020 and currently offers six direct flights per week to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.

Simon Rickman the regional manager for the UK and EU said: “The relocation to Terminal 4 will improve our operations and customer service, as we prepare to operate daily flights from Heathrow starting April 29th.

“Our customers will appreciate easy access to every gate at Terminal 4, resulting in a seamless service with shorter walking times starting April 3rd”

Kigali, 17 April 2023: RwandAir has today launched new direct flights to the dazzling French capital of Paris for the first time.

Now customers can fly with RwandAir on the only direct service between Rwanda and France as the airline accelerates its ambitious growth strategy and adds a 25th destination to its route map.

The new flights to the ‘City of Light’, will operate three times a week, giving customers easy access to one of Europe’s most stylish and exciting cities, as well connecting France with Kigali, in the heart of Africa.

Flight WB700 departs Kigali each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 00:30 am, arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 9:00 am the same morning.

The returning flight WB701 leaves Paris at 9:30 pm each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving at RwandAir’s home hub at 6:00 am the following morning.

Customers flying to France from Africa will now be able to reach Paris via Kigali in under 8 hours and 30 minutes, giving them more time to explore the city’s incredible atmosphere, amazing culture and iconic sights.

The new three times a week service will also open access for travellers from France directly to the heart of Africa to explore Rwanda’s magnificent scenery and wildlife, including its beautiful national parks and world-famous mountain gorillas.

RwandAir’s Kigali hub also provides quick connections to its extensive network of flights reaching across Africa to countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

Kigali, 24 November 2022 – RwandAir has today taken delivery of its first dedicated cargo aircraft as the carrier expands its fleet.

The Boeing 737-800 SF, which is painted in RwandAir’s first cargo livery, will be based at the carrier’s Kigali hub.

The new jet will allow the Rwandan carrier to further expand its cargo operation, which has been on the rise.

RwandAir will operate the new freighter to a number of key destinations in Africa and the Middle East, including Johannesburg, Nairobi, and UAE.

Kigali, 17 October 2022 – RwandAir will launch direct flights between London Heathrow and Kigali from 6 November 2022.

The African airline has been operating flights to London via Brussels for the past five years, but from next month, these flights will be replaced with a new non-stop service to cater to demand.

The new direct flights, which are on sale from today, will operate four times a week, an increase from the airline’s current indirect thrice-weekly operation.

Flights depart Kigali each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 23:35, arriving in London at 06:20 the following morning.

The return flight departs the British capital at 20:30 each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, arriving at RwandAir’s home hub at 07:00 the following morning.

Customers traveling to the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills, will experience RwandAir’s state-of-the-art A330, which offers a choice of flying in Business Class or Economy Class.
